Lakes Community High School - Lake Villa, IL -- Eagle Acres XC Course



Course Information: The meet will be held at our Eagle Acres Course located on the LCHS Campus. Course Map

  • 3.0 mile course consisting of 3 loops (each loop is a mile)
  • Terrain is almost completely grass with a 400m section of each loop on a prairie trail.
  • Multiple access points to the majority of the 1 mile loop.
  • Entire campus (2.5 mi perimeter) is open for warm up, including over 600m of grass soccer fields.
  • Multiple viewpoints from the front or back loop. Athletes are visible for a large amount of the race.

Meet Information: We will run a co-ed Flighted Invitational. The coach will designate athletes as     #1 – 10. We will combine flights for a final varsity score. Overall, we will run 3 co-ed races. 

Meet Schedule: Each race will begin after the entire course has been cleared. We will use a rolling schedule.

  • 4:30pm - Bronze Flight (Coed Open Flight with unlimited entries)
  • 5:10pm - Silver Flight (Coed Flight with runners #6-10; 6/7/8/9/10)
  • 5:40pm - Gold Flight (Coed Flight with runners #1-5; 1/2/3/4/5)

Note: All flights are Coed. Boys and Girls will start their flight races at the same time.

Results: Will be posted to Athletic.net by the conclusion of the event. 

Scoring: Scores from each of the two flight races will be added together to compute the final team score. We will be using traditional scoring with the top 5 runners counting toward the team score with 2 athletes used as displacers.  If a team does not have 5 runners, then a ghost runner will be used. In this scenario, the team must fill in the flights starting with the championship flight. 

Awards: We are offering commemorative bibs for ALL ATHLETES in lieu of individual awards. 

T-Shirts: Long Sleeve t-shirts will be available for $20.

Restrooms: Restrooms are available in the stadium.
